In July 2018, we visited Ngā Kete Wānanga Marae to develop children’s bi-cultural practice, and experience our Iwi traditions and to pay respects to the land we live on.
On Wednesday the 2nd May Care4kidz held our bi monthly excursion at Crystal Mountain. Over the past month educators and coordinators have noticed through visits and learning stories many children’s interests are in transportation and dinosaurs. Children were able to choose if they would like to visit the underground museum to see the crystals, dinosaur fossils, and meteors or they could take a ride on the Crystal Mountain express train tides, feed the animals, pet smaller animals and walk through the Dinosaur gully. It was a fun day for Care4kidz team, educators, tamariki and out families who were able to attend the excursion.
Care4Kidz recently invited families and educators to explore Kelly Tarlton’s. It was so much fun seeing all the sea animals and the kids enjoyed the ECE program very much. They were singing and dancing along with the puppet – ka pai tamariki!
